"New Orleans Hornets rookie forward Anthony Davis suffered a sprained left ankle during the second quarter of Monday afternoon's game against the Sacramento Kings and did not return for the second half, the team announced.

The Hornets did not release any further details or announce if Davis would possibly miss any upcoming games. He injured the same left ankle earlier this season.

Against the Kings, Davis played 15 minutes before the injury occurred and scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds. Backup forward Ryan Anderson started the second half in place of Davis."
